A portable gaming console made by SEGA. It was the first portable console, as far as my recollection, to have a backlight AND Television capability. The Game Gear was a bit bulky, and it either used an AC adapter, or it consumed six AA batteries in about five hours. That may seem like a short period of time, but that's because it is. It is worth comparing to the Wii U's tablet controller, though. At best, that thing was only good for about 2 hours of gameplay. That's right, the SEGA Game Gear, an old, portable console from the 1990's, out-performed the Wii U, a state-of-the-art, cutting-edge game console from 2012. That's embarrassing, isn't it? It's also worth mentioning that this was during the time where porting a game to a portable console meant compromising its playability. But hey, playing Battletoads on the go seems cool. Enjoy.
