I came into vacation with 4 crabs; Jack, Silver, Walnut, and rocky. I left vacation with three crabs: Silver, Walnut, and Rocky. Rest in piece, my crustacean companion. Jack died when he was molting and the other crabs cannibalized him. I am having my mom turn his shell into a necklace to remember him. This was my first animal death and left me saddened and gripping his now empty shell for the rest of the car trip. I will love jack forever. ):
